Bucks hang tough for win at home

Playing without Khris Middleton and one night after a draining win over the Nets, the Milwaukee Bucks mustered just enough defense in the fourth quarter to hold on for a 135-134 win over the Washington Wizards Wednesday night at Fiserv Forum.

Jrue Holiday picked up Middleton’s scoring slack with a team-high 29 points. In all, Milwaukee (42-24) had seven players scoring in double digits, highlighted by Giannis Antetokounmpo’s 23 points on 8-15 shooting from the field and Donte DiVincenzo’s 19 points on 6-8 shooting, including 5-7 from beyond the three-point line.

Washington (30-36) was led by Bradley Beal’s 42 points. Beal (31.1 ppg) is second only to Golden State superstar Steph Curry (31.5 ppg) in scoring this season in the NBA.

The Bucks are next in action Friday night at home when they play host to Houston.
