Packers Fall in Preseason Finale to Chiefs 17-10

Jordan Love looked solid, the defense was stout, but the Packers came up on the losing end of the Chiefs 17-10 preseason victory on Thursday night. It was the final preseason game for both teams.

Harrison Butker opened up the scoring for Kansas City with a 44-yard field goal late in the first quarter to give the Chiefs a 3-0 lead.

Following the Chiefs first score, the Packers put together a nice drive that went 11 plays and 83 yards. It ended with a 24-yard touchdown run by Tyler Goodson to put the Packers up 7-3 with 12:58 left in the second quarter.

The Chiefs would answer right back with a big play. Chiefs Quarterback Shane Buechele threw a pass to his wide open tight end Matt Bushman down the left sideline and Bushman took it 54 yards for a touchdown. Kansas City regained the lead 10-7.

Love engineered a drive that went 13 plays and 75 yards, but couldn’t get the ball in the end zone before halftime. The Packers settled for a 23-yard field goal from Ramiz Ahmed and tied the game at ten. That was the halftime score.

In the second half, Jordan Love played through nearly the entire third quarter. He finished 16 for 26, threw for 148 yards, no touchdowns, and one interception. He finishes the preseason with three touchdowns and four interceptions.

Kansas City took the lead with 12:45 left in the game on another touchdown connection from Buechele to Bushman. However, this time it was only a two-yard touchdown pass. That put the Chiefs up for good. The Packers lost 17-10.
