Badgers defense developing depth in training camp

With a good portion of Wisconsin's defense from last year now graduated, the Badgers have been looking at the competition for open roles in the early stages of camp. Badgers defensive coordinator Jim Leonhard offers updates on a pair of players who have emerged in the early going.

Former Middleton lineman Kayden Lyles played on offense as recently as spring camp, but injuries and graduation made it necessary for the Badgers to find depth up front on defense as well. The transition appears to be working so far.

As Wisconsin turns over three of their starting four members of their secondary, as well as special teams ace and nickel safety Natrell Jamerson, there's plenty of competition for starting roles in camp. Leonhard updates on some of the younger players making their mark so far in camp.
