College football returns to the state of Wisconsin.
With kickoff to the 2020 college football season one month and one day away against Illinois, Wisconsin opened up fall camp on Wednesday.
On Wednesday, the initial roster was released, featuring two notable items. Defensive back Reggie Pearson is no longer listed on the roster, while offensive lineman Jon Dietzen has made his return to the program after leaving the Badgers following the 2018 season due to injuries.
Wisconsin kicks off the season on October 24 against Illinois, seven weeks later than the original 2020 schedule had the Badgers leading off against Indiana on September 3, or the re-do of the 2020 schedule that again had Wisconsin opening against Indiana the Friday leading in to Labor Day weekend.
