Badgers out-claw the Wildcats

The Wisconsin Badgers men's basketball team was desperate for a victory Sunday evening in Evanston, Ill. Their desperation turned into a balanced scoring attack and a comfortable 17-point win on the road.

Wisconsin (16-8,10-7 in Big Ten games) was led by Micah Potter's 19 points, but was bolstered by four other players scoring in double digits; D'Mitrik Trice (13), Brad Davison and Jonathan Taylor (12 apiece), and Tyler Whal (10).

Northwestern (6-14, 3-13 in Big Ten play) was led by Boo Buie's 19 points. No other Wildcat had more than 7.

Wisconsin faces a tough test in their next game against Illinois (16-5 overall, 12-3 in Big Ten games). The Illini defeated the Badgers 75-60 on Feb. 6.
