After a long 15 day layoff between games, the Wisconsin Badgers basketball team didn't skip a beat, defeating the Western Michigan Broncos 76-66 on Friday night.
Steven Crowl had himself a game, scoring 25 points, with 20 of them coming in the second half. He went 9-13 from the field and 3-5 from beyond the arc. Chucky Hepburn added 11 points and Tyler Wahl scored 10.
Western Michigan was able to keep it close through the first half, going into halftime with just a 29-27 Badgers lead. But Wisconsin was able to pull away in the second half, at one point stretching out to an 18 point lead with just over two and a half minutes to go.
Next up for Wisconsin is Big Ten play. As the calendar turns to 2023, the rest of the schedule is Big Ten opponents, starting with a battle against the Minnesota Golden Gophers on Tuesday, January 3rd.
